Carpal tunnel syndrome

Carpal tunnel syndrome refers to a painful condition of the hand and fingers caused by compression of a major nerve where it passes over the carpal bones through a passage at the front of the wrist, alongside the flexor tendons of the hand. It may be caused by repetitive movements over a long period, or by fluid retention.

Carpal tunnel syndrome

Symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome include:

Numbness, tingling, burning, and pain: primarily in the thumb and index, middle, and ring fingers. This often wakes people up at night.

Occasional shock: like sensations that radiate to the thumb and index, middle, and ring fingers

Pain or tingling that may travel up the forearm toward the shoulder

Weakness and clumsiness in the hand: this may make it difficult to perform fine movements such as buttoning your clothes

Dropping things: due to weakness, numbness, or a loss of proprioception (awareness of where your hand is in space)

Treatment options for carpal tunnel syndrome include:

Rest: Reducing or avoiding activities that exacerbate symptoms can help alleviate pain and reduce inflammation in the affected wrist.

Wrist Splinting: Wearing a wrist splint at night can help keep the wrist in a neutral position, reducing pressure on the median nerve.

Medications: Over-the-counter or prescription medications such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or corticosteroids can help reduce pain and inflammation.

Surgery: In severe cases, surgery may be necessary to relieve pressure on the median nerve.

Physical therapy: Exercises and stretches can help strengthen the wrist and improve flexibility, reducing symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome.

Class 4 LASER THERAPY: It is a type of medical treatment that uses high-powered lasers to alleviate pain, reduce inflammation and promote tissue healing. It penetrates deeper into the body tissues than other classes of lasers and can be used to treat various conditions such as musculoskeletal injuries, arthritis, and neuropathic pain.

Class 4 LASER THERAPY for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome:

Class 4 LASER THERAPY for arthritis involves using high-powered lasers to penetrate deep into the tissues of the affected joint. The laser energy can stimulate cellular activity in the tissues, promoting healing and reducing inflammation.

Arthritis can be effectively treated with our class iv high power laser therapy machine. It works by stimulating cellular activity in the affected joint, leading to reduced inflammation, increased blood flow, and improved tissue repair. It can be used alone or in combination with other treatments, such as medications or physical therapy, to provide comprehensive care for arthritis.
